This Privacy Policy explains how Better Block Editor (“BBE”, “we”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use wpbbe.io and our related subdomains (including docs.wpbbe.io and templates.wpbbe.io) (the “Site”), and when you interact with our plugin, templates, and other resources (the “Services”). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or Services.

If you are in the EEA/UK, BBE is the data controller for your personal data collected via the Site.

2) Scope

This Policy covers personal information we process on the Site (including docs and template previews), via forms you submit, when your WordPress installation fetches our template library or assets, and in connection with support interactions. It does not cover third‑party sites or services we link to.

3) What we collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Contact/support: name, email, message, and any attachments.
  • Newsletter/updates (optional): email and preferences.
  • Feedback: bug reports, feature requests, or other messages.

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • HTTP request data & logs: IP address, date/time, URL, referrer, user‑agent, response codes, and error details.
  • Cookies or local storage: essential cookies; optional analytics cookies (see §7).
  • Analytics (if enabled): aggregated page views, referrers, device/browser details, events.

3.3 From the BBE plugin

By default, the BBE plugin does not send your site content or your visitors’ data to us. When you browse or import templates from within WordPress, your site fetches assets from our Site/CDN, generating standard logs (IP, user‑agent, requested resource). We use this for delivery, rate‑limiting, security, and improvement. We do not attempt to associate these logs with your end users and we do not track your site visitors across sites.

4) Why we use your information (legal bases)

  • Provide the Site & Services: legitimate interests / contract.
  • Security & abuse prevention: legitimate interests / legal obligations.
  • Communication (support, responses): legitimate interests / contract.
  • Analytics & improvement: consent where required.

5) How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers (hosting/CDN, email, analytics), for legal/safety reasons, or as part of a business transfer.

6) Data retention

  • Contact/support records: typically 24 months after last interaction.
  • Server logs: typically 30–90 days.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or we close the list.
