1) Who we are
The Site is operated under the name Better Block Editor (“BBE”, “we”, “us”, “our”). BBE provides a free plugin that enhances the native WordPress Block Editor with responsive controls, on-scroll animations, and ready-to-use site templates.
You may reach us via the contact form available on the Site.
2) What these Terms cover
- The Site and all public pages (including docs and template previews);
 - Materials we publish on or from the Site (e.g., documentation, text, graphics, brand assets and iconography, demo content, and downloadable resources);
 - Any non-code resources we distribute from the Site.

Important: These Terms do not alter or supersede the GNU General Public License (GPL) that applies to the BBE plugin code. If there is a conflict between these Terms and an open-source license that governs particular code, the open-source license controls for that code. The BBE plugin is distributed under the GPL and is free to use on personal and commercial sites.
3) Eligibility & accounts
You must be capable of entering a binding agreement to use the Site. If you create or are provided an account in the future, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities under your account.
4) Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to allow third parties to:
- Break or circumvent security measures, probe or scan the Site without authorization;
 - Use the Services to violate any law or rights of others, including privacy, IP, or publicity rights;
 - Use automated means (scrapers, crawlers, bots) to access the Site in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load;
 - Upload or transmit malware or harmful code;
 - Misrepresent your affiliation with BBE.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations (see Section 15).
5) Software license (BBE plugin)
The BBE plugin is provided free and GPL-licensed. These Terms do not restrict the rights you have under the GPL, including the rights to use, modify, and redistribute the plugin code, subject to GPL conditions.
Updates & support. BBE may publish updates and documentation and may address bugs via public channels (e.g., WordPress.org forums). BBE does not promise ongoing or prioritized free support; if you report a reproducible bug in BBE, we aim to fix it as soon as reasonably possible.
6) Templates, demo content & design system assets
Templates & partial import. The Site hosts previewable site templates and allows partial import of sections (e.g., hero, pricing, FAQ) for use in WordPress projects. Templates are intended to speed up site creation in the native editor, including with BBE’s responsiveness and animation features.
License for templates & demo content (non-code). Unless a different license is stated alongside a particular asset, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, and reproduce our non-code template layouts and demo content as part of websites you build or manage (commercial use permitted). You may not resell, re-license, or redistribute our templates or demo content as a competing template library or standalone product. If any portion of a template is released under an open-source license (e.g., GPL), that license governs that portion to the extent of any conflict.
Third-party components. Some assets referenced in our brand/asset materials (e.g., Tabler Icons, Google Fonts) are subject to their own licenses, which you must follow when using them in your projects. Always review the linked third-party license terms before use.
Stock/demo imagery and trademarks. Any logos, product names, or third-party imagery shown in demos are for illustration only and may be subject to third-party rights. Replace demo imagery and marks with assets you have rights to use.
7) Brand assets
BBE logos, word marks, colors, and other brand materials published in our brand assets page are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use BBE brand assets solely to reference or promote the BBE plugin in truthful, non-misleading ways. Do not alter the logos, imply endorsement, or use our marks in your own product names, domain names, or logos without prior written permission.
WordPress trademark notice. “WordPress” and related logos are trademarks owned and managed by the WordPress Foundation. BBE is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WordPress Foundation or Automattic. Your use of WordPress names or logos must comply with the WordPress Foundation’s trademark policy.
8) User submissions & feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other content (“Feedback”), you grant BBE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, and create derivative works from the Feedback for any purpose, without obligation to you.
9) Third-party links & services
The Site may link to third-party websites, services, or resources (including WordPress.org, icon and font repositories). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices. Your use of third-party resources is at your own risk and may be subject to separate terms.
10) Privacy
For information about how we collect and process personal data (e.g., through forms on the Contact page), see our Privacy Policy.
11) Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site, Services, templates, documentation, and all related materials are provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
We do not warrant that the Site or Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components; that templates will meet your needs; or that any defects will be corrected. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BBE and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the Site or Services, even if informed of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site or Services will not exceed US $100 (or the minimum amount permitted by law if higher). Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability; in those cases, the foregoing limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
13) Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless BBE and its contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Site or Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or any rights of a third party.
14) Changes to the Site and Services
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or Services at any time, with or without notice, including the availability of templates or documentation.
15) Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or Services immediately if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to comply with legal obligations or protect the Site, users, or the public. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms will end, except those that by their nature should survive (e.g., Sections 7, 8, 11–18).
16) Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the effective date. Material changes will be effective when posted to the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17) Export & sanctions compliance
You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a resident or national of any country or region subject to comprehensive embargoes or sanctions, and that you are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.
18) Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in United Kingdom will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site. If you are a consumer and mandatory local law requires otherwise, that protection prevails.
19) General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and Services.
 - Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
 - No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
 - Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a reorganization, merger, or similar transaction.
 - Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.

20) Notices & contact
Questions about these Terms or claims of infringement can be submitted via our Contact page. For faster handling, include your name, contact details, a description of your request, and any relevant URLs or screenshots.
21) Required notices
- Open-source / GPL notice (plugin). The BBE plugin is distributed under the GNU GPL; nothing in these Terms limits your rights under that license.
 - Third-party assets. Some assets referenced on our brand page (e.g., Tabler Icons, Google Fonts) are governed by their own licenses. Review those licenses before use.
 - WordPress trademark. “WordPress” and related marks are owned by the WordPress Foundation. Use must follow their trademark policy. BBE is not affiliated with the WordPress Foundation or Automattic.
